Paris Diary - Day 2

      18.11.2011

Breakfast in bed! One of the things I enjoy the most when I travel, is the magic button at the hotel rooms that connects you to Room Service!

Batteries recharged! I was ready to explore Centre Pompidou, the most spectacular 20th century building in Paris.I went on a tour of the French National Museum of Modern Art, which is the largest museum of modern art in Europe. I was lucky, because an exhibition of Edvard Munch took place at the top floor! I had the chance to admire a  collection ,never-seen-before in Paris, which exhibited around eighty paintings, thirty artworks done in paper, fifty photographs and a film.
(September 21, 2011- January 23, 2012)

After my educational visit I walked at Le Marais, a historic district in Paris which has become fashionable and you can find  many trendy restaurants, fashion houses and hype galleries.

Hungry again! Being already at Place des Vosges, the oldest planned square in Paris! I had a quick lunch at Ma Bourgogne, a parisian bistro, which is the heart and soul of the whole neighborhood. There are several tables at the open terraces, situated under the arcades, so you can have your meal while gazing at the gardens! The heating parasols and a glass of white wine kept me warm !

Next destination: La Maison de Victor Hugo, a museum operated by the city of Paris and preserves the house that Victor Hugo lived in for 16 years.

Back to the hotel for a power nap!!! La Societe, a hip restaurant in Paris, was waiting for us!

Enjoy the photos!
